Happy New Year, loyal Readers!

I hope you had a happy holidays and I’d like to apologize for not updating this blog earlier. In late October, I saw the words “The Spirit of Aloha is the greatest Christmas Gift” on an old photo and the story about Lani’s and Luana’s nursery being in trouble due to bad weather and the entire town of Hana coming together and helping immediately came to my mind and had to get out there, combined with a some new characters, the Holmquist family.

Writing the Christmas Novella was a lot of fun and transported me back to Maui but it also kept me extremely busy since the goal was to publish it by Thanksgiving to give you something to get you in the holiday spirit before Christmas. Did you like it?

I hope you have all been staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions? I’m definitely planning on trying to cut my sugar intake which is always crazy around Christmas when I have all the German chocolate and sweets in the house and I also have to start working out more. I went on a 45 minute bike ride yesterday (okay, that sounds lame, but for me it was a big deal!) and am planning on doing it again today and want to increase the length of the outings. I also want to (re-) start some online yoga classes. A friend just told me about belly dancing classes – that might be a lot of fun too!

As far as book projects are concerned, a new story is already shaping in my mind (but I won’t give away any details yet!), and I might also translate “A House in Hana” and “Back in Hana” into German in between.

Please stay well and drop me a line! And – as usual – I cannot ask you enough to please leave a review on Amazon – it’s the best advertising a writer can get! Mahalo!

Best wishes for 2021!
